Rethinking my thoughts

I still hold to my claim that texting is actually creating a new language. I don't think that texting creates bad writers. Texting just creates a new way for people of our generation to write the way we speak. Although texting definitely is more laid back with less rules, it does have some structure. There are filler words like "lol" or "hahah" or even "slash". There has always been concern about how younger generations "can't spell or write correctly," however; it is only the product of a developing language. If we would look into the future twenty years from now, I think we would be very surprised at how different people speak.
